Webfleet Van Tracking System

Align with van lease contract for easier management

As we move into 2023, many businesses are leasing vehicles for the financial benefits. If the vans are primarily used for business mileage then 100% of the VAT costs can be claimed back. Short-term lease contracts of 2 years are on the rise. Pairing a van tracking system contract of 24 months with the lease contract is a great way to streamline cash flow and avoid unnecessary payments. There is nothing worse then paying for a tracking contract with no vehicle to trace.

The verstality of the LINK 245 ensures that no installation costs are required to move the unit between vehicles. It plugs directly into the OBD-II port to gather all vehicle diagnostic data and relay this data on the Webfleet desktop display. There is a Webfleet app for those times spent out of the office. It is free to download on any smartphone device as it compatible with both Android and iOS.

Plug-and-Play

Plug-and-Play

The LINK 245 plug-and-play device is aimed at a fleet of leased vehicles. Its ability to be easily transferred between vehicles means there is no chance of it being left in a van that is nearing the end of the lease contract. It fits directly into the vans OBD-II port connecting to the vehicle diagnostics.

Fixed Install

Fixed Install

The LINK 640 with Webfleet LCS CAN connection is installed into the vehicle. This is more targeted for companies who own their vehicles outright. It is wired into the vehicles power/ignition feed whilst the LCS is a non-intrusive connection into the CAN bus information. This connection enables Webfleet to gather significant vehicle data without voiding any manufacturer warranty.

The START bundle does not include fuel data but the LCS connection can be used for this at any time. An upgrade to the ECO tariff will allow the van tracking system to reveal fuel levels, consumption and co2 emmissions. This would be the first step in considering whether to move to an electric vehicle solution.
