Webfleet launched this new device and the Fleet & Mobility Live conference at the NEC on 11th-12th October 2022. The rugged, tough design was shown off as it got hurled across the floor with not a mark left on the device.
Webfleet have future-proofed the hardware of the device by supporting up to Android 14 with regular security patch updates. It can be used as a normal smartphone with a SIM card installed. Drivers can make regular calls when necessary or in an emergency. Full connectivity with WiFi and bluetooth as well as advanced location services with GPS, Galileo, Glonass and BeiDou.
The PRO M has a high-performance CPU which is capable of running professional navigation and featured apps without crashing. 5.5″ bright, high-resolution screen can be easily operated 24/7 even with gloves and wet hands.

Work App
This is a beneficial mobile driver app offering two-way communication with the back office. View working times, order status and Optidrive score on one interface. Professional Vehicle/Truck navigation is available as an additional service (Car – £2.50 Truck – £4.50 monthly extra). Managers are able to locate and trace vehicles, log working times and trip modes whilst staying on top of any changes in order status.
Vehicle Check – (£2.50 monthly additional service)
Webfleet Vehicle Check App digitises the daily walkaround inspections. Lose unwanted paperword by customising the app to suit your vehicles specifics. Highlight defects with the support of adding photos and noted. The office will be able to pick this up directly on the Webfleet platform and action any maintenance tasks immediately thus decreasing downtime.
Logbook
Accurate, easy-to-use mileage logbook whilst protecting the drivers’ private data. Simply define the purpose of any trip whether it be business, commute or private. Connect to the vehicles odometer through LINK to get accurate mileage reports. Download these reports on a monthly (or on demand) basis for financial or tax purposes.

Accessories
The Webfleet PRO M comes with a catalogue of useful accessories to help with the daily performance. They are split into different categories of mounting, depot and extra protection.
Mounting allows the device to be secured in the cab when driving. A cradle or windshield mount can be attached with a charger to maintain battery life whilst driving.
Depot ensures all devices have a designated location for overnight storage. Multi charging stations are used to house the Webfleet PRO M device with added battery charging stations. The batteries are replaceable to ensure a device never leaves the office without being fully charged. As shown in the featured image at the top of this blog.
Extra protection gives the driver the option of a carry strap or case to be used. There is a screen protector not that you’ll need it.

Security Information
Webfleet PRO M and Android have got the Google seal of approval with this device. Google’s strict enterprise requirements have been so companies can feel safe setting their business up with a mobile device. Webfleet PRO M meets strict requirements for software and hardware. Firmware and security upgrades are provided to achieve a long device lifetime. The devices can be set up fast to get drivers on the road. Remote access is available to complete any troubleshooting, fleet managers can feel safe with the settings as these can be locked once customised to the business requirements.
